VINTAGE ROMANCE

FOREVER GREEN

This is my entry for the Sunday Postcard Art  challenge. I used my Gelli plate for the background, using PaperArtsy Fresco translucent paints. I then did some stencilling after which I added my image of the couple. I'd printed the image with my home printer and then used matt medium to adhere it to the postcard. I would have got a much better result with a laser print but hey...make do and craft!

I then doodled on the card and added a sentiment ...finished!

If you've dropped by for a look, thank you and happy messiness to you all xxxx

Just had a thought....if I was to redo this I would put a sun setting in the sky...darn, wish I'd thought of it last night!! Always learning.

DREAMER

DREAMER

Hi all. The lovely Mandy Chilvers asked me to host on Sunday Postcard Art...was I thrilled or what! Oh yes!!

I have got a bit addicted to Pintrest lately and I came across an artist called Hush and I fell in love with his images of geishas and his use of collage so I have used one of his images and decided on an oriental theme as it offers such a diverse choice of  images.

To make this I used my Gelli plate, using blue, red and off white acrylic paint and pulled a print. I was not too fussy about the background as it was going to be hidden.

I then added a flower I had cut out from a napkin and then some washi tape after which I stencilled  on some stars with white acrylic.

Then I attached my main image using matt medium. Once this was dry I used a selection of Prima watercolour pastels around the edge of the card and the image, using black to give the shadowed effect. I stamped the black and white oblong onto some card and glued it down as well as the text.

The End....

Except for a big THANK YOU TO Mandy for asking me to host this. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone's take on the theme.

Also apologies for the wonky photo!

Happy messiness to you all xxxx
